Belinda Mann

Founder and Principal Consultant at PeopleWorx

My professional journey began in the heart of the office, supporting teams as an administrator, office manager, and executive assistant. In these early roles, I learned firsthand the significance of organisational culture, clear communication, and the wellbeing of every team member. Handling everything from day-to-day logistics to high-level executive support gave me deep insights into what helps workplaces, and the people within them, truly succeed.

Driven by a curiosity about how organisations operate and continually improve, I stepped into system administration for ISO-certified management systems across quality, safety, and environmental standards. This transition allowed me to understand the structures behind great workplaces: robust policies, accountable systems, and a genuine commitment to excellence. It was a smooth move into work health and safety roles, where my focus naturally gravitated towards employee wellbeing, promoting work-life balance, fostering positive working relationships, and ensuring everyone had the opportunity to thrive.

Throughout my career, I have embraced a mix of practical experience and formal learning, always seeking opportunities to build supportive, high-performance cultures. My extroverted nature and willingness to speak up, often advocating for both colleagues and broader workplace change have shaped my approach and leadership style. This blend of lived experience and professional expertise means I can relate to people at all levels and bring a unique perspective to every project.

After being made redundant in May 2025 during an organisational restructure, I took time to step back and reflect on what matters most in my work and to those around me. I realised my greatest satisfaction comes from supporting people, standing up for equity and fairness, and making workplaces not just safer, but truly welcoming and inclusive.

In recent years, I’ve had the opportunity to develop frameworks for responding to unlawful conduct in the workplace. This work showed me, beyond doubt, the critical need for specialised services grounded in a person-centred and trauma-informed approach. Safety must be about more than compliance, it must be about protecting people, respecting their experiences, and ensuring everyone is seen and heard, no matter their role or background.

Today, I use my 15+ years of experience to help organisations embed proactive systems, strengthen psychosocial risk governance, and foster engagement at every level. My approach is always people-first, striving to secure executive buy-in and drive sustainable business performance while keeping wellbeing at the core. For me, people aren’t just numbers—they are the heart of every organisation.

My mission is to help leaders and organisations build work environments where everyone can thrive, physically, psychologically, and socially, by embedding person-centred and trauma-informed practices every step of the way.
